The MTC (Missionary Training Center) Drop-Off....March 27, 2013

We dropped off Hannah at the MTC at 1:30 on a warm, beautiful Utah afternoon.  After some shopping, a nice lunch at Cafe Rio, we headed to the MTC to take pictures and spend some time together before her drop off time.  From minute one, she was excited and ready to go.  A funny moment, but also very weird, was when we dropped her off (much like an elementary school car line).  We all got out of the car, unloaded her bags, took a few pictures, and gave a few hugs.  All the incoming missionaries are greeted by a plethora of young, fresh faced male missionaries....who help to unload and bring in luggage.  They are all excited and happy to be there and are about the friendliest group of kids on the planet!!!  There was an older man who was helping to direct traffic and move folks along and of course, he is moving us along too.  He says to the male missionary helping us, "Hurry, so she isn't late for orientation." Drop-offs are arranged by last name and with our last name starting with an R, so she was one of the last groups to get there.  Even though we were there on time, orientation started a few minutes after she arrived. She had to take her bags to her room and then rush to orientation.  Leave it to Hannah to have her final words to us be...."Guys you are getting me in trouble. I gotta go...Bye."

So, although Rob and I get in the car a little shell shocked, she never looked back, never shed a tear, and was completely pumped and ready to go.  Nice to see that she is so confident and happy!
