A Chicken, Mac and Cheese and Other Fun Missionary Stuff.....August 19, 2013

Hey family!

 

my talk in district meeting was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh it was perfect!!!!

 

this week has been good! thanks for the package! i got it this morning!!! i'm wearing one of the sweaters right now! and thanks for the BoM's, dad! that was super cool!!! i cant wait to find people to give them to! and also the shirt! funny!

 

this past week, i held a chicken! hahah i have pic's of it! it was dirty and antsy. it freaked me out but, you're only a missionary once! :)

 

also this past week, i also found a pic from the beach on my memory card. i was zooming in on the people in all my pics, and this one from the beach has an old man in a speedo. weird! haha we died laughing!

 

we also knocked a few houses on munger drive. ahhh check them out on google maps or something. they were insaaaaaaannnneee!!!

 

also this week we were going to see this investigator, a. these 6 kids answer the door, all about 4-5 or younger because the investigator wasnt there, and they ask: "can you sing with us again?" they meant praying! :) so hna hernandez said a prayer and they would repeat what she said! super cute!

 

and then yesterday we go back to see a. he speaks spanish and he always like....challenges my spanish. so he told me to tell him what i think of him. (he said use "tu") "tu eres bueno.........tu eres....hermana how do you say short?" hahaha he did not believe he was short! we're the same height and he said he's not short because we're the same height. i told him that he's a man and he's older (~50's or 60's) and that he has the height of a girl. he thought that was funny! (and i had some help with the last part.... :) haha)

 

we also met a guy knocking. he didn't want to tell us his name, so he told us "uhhhh i dont have a name" so when we walked away we joked about how sad it is to have your name be "uhhh i dont have a name"

PS-also, a southern accent comes out when i talk sometimes. i dont think i do it on purpose? haha but it makes me laugh! last night i talked to the district leader on the phone to tell him our numbers for the week, and some things i said were just super southern. haha :)

 

and this week i'm getting stuff to make your mac n cheese. its been about 5 months. thats too long. :( haha :)
