hey yall!!
this week has been pretty good!! we met l.! she grew up mormon and she said we can teach her more! we don't know if she's baptized or not, but we get to teach her! and shes married and has kids! (emphasis on the married!!) that's rare! we also met J. ahhhhhhhhhhhh he has two girls who have been asking him about God, and his mom never took him to church, so he doesn't really know how to answer because he's never gone to church and he's never prayed!! he said he wants a religion for his girls but he doesn't know where to go/start. so he said we can teach him and his girls!!!!!!!!!!! and we also met a guy named r. he's met with sisters before but they "were trying to get [him] in the tub when [he] came to church." he felt like they were rushing him to be baptized and he didn't know if was ready. but he did say we could come back again and that he would come to church.
funny story! we got this referral, M., this past week. he. was. wasted. when we came to see him. he kept telling me "you are beautiful. you have a beautiful face. you have a beautiful smile. you have beautiful eyes." then he told my companion. and then his son. and then his wife. "look at her! look at her! she's beautiful!" hahahaha!!!
oh and we got to teach Young Womens this week! The ward is small, and they only have 4 or 5 girls in the YW's program. We taught about families. It was good!
And we had FHE yesterday at a members house. We talked about the iron rod and we took yarn and made an "iron rod" and we had them hold on to it/follow it. it was good!! they all enjoyed it, the adults and kids. we had three families there. it was spanish, but they all know english, so i can use english when i don't know how to say it in spanish. and we sang an opening hymn. and no one knew how to start it (there is sunshine in my soul today). they all kept starting with the chorus part of it. it was funny! and the even funnier part, guess who knew how the song went and led it? hint:starts with "h" and ends in "ermana rubow" hermana hernandez and i were still laughing about that this morning!
how many cards did yall get? i sent two last week with a few pictures. have the first two not come yet?!
12,000 books?! "aint no body got time fo dat!" hahaha
i'm still the driver! and i still hate it! haha :)
oh we got two new elders in our district! fresh out of the MTC! one is very reserved, and one is VERY sarcastic. both are nice guys.
my health is good! some days we both are just super tired! not all day, but just random parts of the day. but not often!
