haha hey family!!! not that i was going to die, but when you get sick, you feel like death...in a lively way haha. the stomach flu has been terrible! in our district, two other sisters got it, i got it, and the district leader got it. and in our ward, even more!!! crazy! after emails we went back to the apartment. and i slept all day i felt a little better but still pretty bad, so we stayed in and i just tried to get better. fun week!!...not! i'm just glad the hermanas we live with didnt get sick! oh and hermana smith got to drive. i didnt feel up to it. i liked the three day break from driving. i've been driving since Santa Paula.
We also had a really good lesson with our other investigator, who's name also starts with an A. A. is awesome! He has so many great questions and he really wants to know these things. We taught the plan of salvation and he seemed really accepting of it. He wasn't able to come to church, but he said he would try this next Sunday. He knows that if he wants to know more about this church, then he needs to go to church as well!
and tuesday i wrote a snail mail. i mentioned that we were gonna have a language thing this past thursday. it was fun! we got to hear the castro's speak spanish!!! it was all mostly in spanish and they did it to help us have better language studies/learn the language better kinda thing. that was in ventura.
and our investigators are doing well! This week we had a really good lesson with A. We taught about fasting and invited him to fast this past Sunday, and he did! He wasn't able to come to church, but he texted us around 2:00 pm to say he was ending his fast and that he was grateful for it. He also seems like he's warming up to coming to church. We don't know why, but for a while it seemed like he was afraid or nervous or something about going to church.

oh and i'm giving a talk in the unit this sunday! its gonna be on prayer. hermano c. has the missionaries give a talk, and i havent done that yet. i've let him believe for a few months that i have. a couple months ago he was figuring out who has and he was like "hermana rubow you've not given a talk...yes you have..?" haha and i didnt say that i hadnt. but two sundays ago i told him "hermano campos, i have a confession to make! i haven't given a talk yet!" and he starts apologizing!! haha he was like "mija! i am so sorry that you havent given a talkl yet! you'll do that soon! the first sunday you can!" and thats this sunday. and its also the last sunday of the transfer. rats. haha.
and transfers are a week from tuesday!

ps a member also bought gatorade, sprite, crackers and bread on monday. and later another member who we had dinner with brought dinner and drinks for sick people. yay moms!!!!!
