Everything Ends With An Exclamation Point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...September 30, 2013

Hey family!!

so many things to tell y'all! but never enough time! so i shall do my best, and i may have a ton of spelling errors, but the rest i will snail mail haha! :)

lets see, ive been out for 6 months!!! weird! I am turning 20 on friday, even weirder, and we are going to the temple wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!! and we are SO excited! we're going with a really nice lady in the english ward!

also this week we got a brand new 2014 chevy cruz! its fun! and we named it fancy pants. :)

also, we had some really cool lessons this week!!!! we met this guy named c. (english and we had to refer him to the elders....super sad face) and he hasn't grown up with going to church and all that, but he was baptized as a baby. we were talking to him about the restoration and he was like "this is really interesting! i havent heard of this before." and it all seemed to make sense to him!

we also had a few really great lessons with a.!!! he even came to church yesterday! we had a lesson saturday night and we taught part of the plan of salvation. and then we talked about going to church. he said he wasnt sure if he would and he wouldn't make any promises. so we promised him that if he went, he would feel peace and be welcomed by the members. and he came!!! it took A LOT of testifying about church and saying things to make him feel comfortable and at the end he told us "you've convinced me!" with a huge smile on his face...well he always smiles haha, but still! He is sooo great and we just hope he is going to be baptized!

ALSO! my interview with president was GREAT!! he knows how to make you feel like you are the most important person in the world and how to make you feel so needed. he was telling me how i have this special unique spirit that only i can bring to this mission and he is grateful for me. he also likes how I'm reserved. he said he doesnt see me as quiet and shy, but more observant and reserved. he also had asked what one of my favorite chapters are in PMG (Preach My Gospel) and to share a quote from it. i really love all of PMG, but i shared this part about how to be effective teachers, we need to gain their trust and how the first few minutes with a person is crucial. he also asked about two missionaries that we admire and he asked how I'm doing, etc and i had any questions about anything.

we also had exchanges. that was really good!!! i was with hermana coleman and she is fantastic!

I dont have much more time! hope yall have a great week and sorry this is so short!

And before I log-off, i need to say that this gospel is true! The Book of Mormon is true and was translated by Joseph Smith, who was called to be a prophet. Through him the same church Christ established on the earth is on the earth again today. Heavenly Father loves all of us. And Christ suffered for each and every one of us because he loves us, too. There is soooo much more I want to say but not enough time! But this whole gospel and the message we share everyday makes so much sense and is for everyone! It can bless their lives in so many ways! I love being a missionary and for the chance to share this everyday and to not have to focus or worry about other things.

well, have a good week!!! We shall see each other again shortly! like in a year! :)

love yall!

love, hermana rubow!

PS send stamps por favor! :) muchas gracias!
