hey family!
this week has been great! for my birthday, i opened your package! it came on wednesday and i waited to open it! :) also, thanks dad for dinner and cheesecake! we went to chili's (2 for $20!) and then cheesecake! we didnt have time to make a cake, but we will this week and bring it to district mtg! also, we got fancy pants fixed on my bday!
while that was happening (for about an hour) we walked to a pet store and met a guy named rock. we talked to him about missionary work and what we do and what we teach. and then we went back to the dealership, and they told us we could sit in the cars, so we sat in a blue "hot wheels" camaro, and a few other fancy cars. :) fun, huh?!

and we also decorated our apartment a little with the stuff you sent :)also, we had district meeting on thursday, and the day before, my companion made tres leches cake, but for a few reasons. the elders wanted tres leches, and for a few peoples birthdays! also, the morning of, i got a text from pres and sis castro saying happy birthday!
and the temple was sooooooooooooo great!!!!!!! i LOVE the LA temple!!!!! its sooooo big!!! i love how its in the middle of all this downtown-y kind of stuff and when you're there, you just feel peaceful!! all the other stuff out there doesn't seem to exist! !
and the chevron cover is perfect!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! :)
also, this week we helped at an acheivement day activity. the first thing they did was make this pumpkin! super cute! all you need is a TP roll, 19 in by 17 in rectangle/square of fabric, brown paper bags, and other fall-y things. I figured you might like it for RS or something! and then after that we played a game with them. it was a lot of fun!
also, how great was general conference!!!! this time, i really tried to focus/write down on things that i need to improve on or things to help me rather than writing things i like. i mean, i did that too, but, anyway haha. i got a lot out of it from doing that. i loved edward dube's talk and henry b eyrings. also jeffrey r hollands. and uchtdorf. and of course "tommy" monson!! :) it was all really great!!!!!
also, i got my companion to say yall! i'm rubbing off on people!!! :)
and we also ate elk yesterday at our WML's home. it's pretty good!
and i think i'm out of time! this email was really random haha.
