this week has been really good!! (PS-we're going to wendy's today! gracias!) I can't believe I've been out 7 months already either. and when johnny get's home, I'll be at my halfway mark. we. ird. thats not really an easy word to split in half. haha.
lets see... this week we had a lady tell us, in the middle of the day, "you need a man with you. its not safe out there." that was really weird. haha we've been doing a lot of knocking because we're trying to find people that speak spanish!!!! theres too many english people!
also, one day, we were walking, and then out of nowhere this guy drives up, gets out of his car, and says "you sisters look like you could use this" and hands us two cold water bottles. and then drives away. we're pretty sure he's a member. we're also pretty sure he had seen us at this gas station down the street, bought the water bottles, and then gave them to us!
also cool person we met!!! his name is e., and we gave him a pamphlet that talks about the restoration. he didnt have much time but he told us he would call us back because he wants to learn more, he wants his dad to learn more and his family to learn more from us!!!!!! sweet!!!!
we met this guy this week that kep bashing us and bashing the church. he kept telling us stuff over and over for like 10 minutes. i ended up telling him "well, thats your opinion, but we know that....." and then telling him things we know are true. i couldn't believe i said that! haha. :)
also, this week we made pan with a member in the spanish unit! he makes the best pan! i have pictures of it, but i forgot my cord, so next week!! he then told us on sunday that he was able to sell it all!!!! i love the members in the unit and the investigators we have. they're sooo patient with our spanish!! and they're all just really nice people!!!!! i think this is my favorite area so far. i mean, i only have two others, but still. haha.
and our investigators are doing well! a. doesnt have a date yet. but he came to a noche de hogar we had this week (family home evening) and we had it on friday. he just doesnt feel like he knows enough.
also, we think e. is doing well. he wasnt there when we came, but m. was. he's doing well too.
not too much else has happened this week.
and we have exchanges next week!
i also hope im in the same area next transfer! sometimes i want to just stay in this area for the rest of my mission!
and i think i'm out of time!
hope yall have a great week!!!
love yall!!!!
love
hermana rubow
PS it doesnt make me feel homesick when you tell me you miss me! also, we had a member of the unit, who's english but knows spanish, that went to NC this past week!!!!! he was in the raleigh/durham/and fayetteville area!
