Hi family!!!!! this week has been...........i dont even know! haha it was good though!
we set a. with a date!!!!!!!!!! dec 28!!!!!! we've been trying since last transfer! a. is my favorite!!!!! he is sooo nice and soo patient with our spanish. :) this week we read "Lord, I Believe" with him. we got a member to print it off in spanish for us. We pulled out the big guns and used Jeffrey R. Holland (or Hefferey Erre Hoyand in spanish). he doesnt feel like he knows enough, but we told him all you need to have is that desire, you dont need to know everything perfectly. i still don't! and we know he has the desire to know these things. he reads the Book of Mormon everyday. and he reads to really understand it, not just to say he read it! he also loves our spanish!!! i think he likes mine a little more because after i read he said "te escucho...i listened to you." (but my spanish is still not good. i just have a gringo accent, and then there's the whole southern thing. the word for priesthood is "sacerdocio" and i say it so southern every time. i'm not trying to do it though haha)
also, speaking of spanish, we got dinner at mcdonalds (i know, i know. we were in agoura and we didn't want to drive all the way back for dinner in our apartment) and the cashier saw my nametag and started talking to me in spanish "para aqui?" "Si!" it was funny, because right before i dared hna smith to order in spanish.
we also met a guy named J. He told us he loves to read the Bible and so we brought up the Book of Mormon. He was really interested! he said he'll read it!
Also, funny story. we met this guy who looked like a caveman, in agoura. he was on the phone, but he still answered the door. he asked if we were JW's. we said no. he told us "i got two more guesses.........mormons?" "yes" "what do i win??" and then we stood there for like a minute because we weren't sure if we wait for him to get off the phone or if we just start talking. and then he asks us "do you guys drink champagne?" "no." then he grabs this unopened bottle of champagne and shows it to us, like he was saying "well i was gonna give this to you, but i guess not anymore." it was hysterical.
we also met a guy named eldar, but its pronounced elder. and he was born in russia.
we also changed up the boundaries a little bit because one area had a ton of spanish and the other didn't. it was frustrating and overwhelming because there was the possibility of losing really great investigators and getting used to areas we havent been in. but we got it all figured out and we still have a., m., and e. and the other sisters still have some really great people too!
exchanges were also really good! i was with hna linford. shes really nice! when we have exchanges, the sister training leaders come and we do "splits" kind of. its just for the day and it helps us get more work done. it also helps to learn more about missionary life because they are experienced missionaries and they know how it works.
ALSO!!! GRACIAS for the package!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!
and i'm out of time!!!!! i'll snail mail the rest!!!!!

also, the pics. we had dinner with a member who lives on a mountain/hill(depending on where you're from) and the view was insane!!!!
