hola familia!....December 9, 2013

hey family!!!

this week has been good! guess what happens in like two weeks?!? you get to hear from me!!!! (johnny included!!!!! i'm really excited to talk to him! well all of y'all of course!!)  what's a good time to do that for y'all?

things have also been good here! its getting colder. one night it was about 46 degrees and another night about 37 degrees. there was also ice outside this morning on the playground in our apartment complex.

our district this transfer seems really good! we have 8 sisters and 2 elders (4 sister companionships and one elder companionship). :) its awesome!  (mom note:  isn't that crazy and awesome?!)

also can you look on my facebook and see what day i received my mission call? it was about a year ago right? and can you send a copy of my call letter. i thought i had one but i can't find it.

and dad! "dead cockroach" in spanish is "la cucaracha muerte." sometimes we do it for exercises in the morning haha.

and funny story. we're doing the ward choir for their christmas performance. the choir director needs sopranos (i don't even know if i'm soprano, but i can follow along for the most part) and she asked if we could help, so we are. we had practice yesterday and they kept using all this singy/vocall-y terminology and I'm just like "what the what?!" the entire time. but it's fun. maybe all this singing i'm doing on my mission is helping make up for all the lip singing before haha. God has a sense of humor. :)

also, thanks for the package!!!!!!! we love the decorations and we love the CD!!!!!!!!! we listen to it all the time!!!!!!!!!!!! and I haven't gotten any snail mails yet but hopefully soon!!!!!!!!!

other than that there hasn't been too much exciting here. we're still looking for people to teach.

hope you have a good week this week!!!!!! have fun picking up elder rubow!!!!!!!!!!!

love y'all....
love,
hermana rubow

Hannah and Hermana Smith  (cute pic!)

Hannah said it looked like it was gonna rain.  It didn't...but it looked like it might!

  • The Charlie Brown tree we sent her. Thought it was perfect for missionaries!

I made this....I'm not crafty, so this was a big deal.  :)
