I've Got Mormon Helping Hands!....April 28, 2014

Hey family! How are y'all? Things are good here. We've had a good week!

We met a man named A. He was doing some yard work, and we offered to help, and he actually took us up on it. He was kind of laughing because we were in skirts. We helped a little and then he started talking to us about this church and what is different about it compared to others. He had some really good questions. He asked how he can have peace in this life because there are so many crazy things going on. He also has four kids, at least two are around high school age, and he wants them to grow up on a good path. He is searching. We were able to talk to him about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon a little bit, and we gave him a copy. We also talked about going to church and how that helps us and our families. He seems very willing to learn and we're excited to teach him.

We also met two people that we had to refer since they only speak English, but they seem like they have a lot of potential as well. We met a woman named B. She and her husband are Christian, but they don't attend a church. He had a problem with seeing people who just live their religion on Sunday and forget it about it during the rest of the week. They also have two kids, and she wants to raise them in a church. We talked to her about eternal families and she was really interested in that. She also said that her husband would be interested in that. And we also met a man named J. He's Baptist, and he told us he was really interested in learning about our religion. He didn't have much time, but we gave him a mormon.org card and told him other missionaries can come by.

We also stopped by one of our less-actives, A. We had a really good visit. We were able to find out her concerns and why she stopped going to church. She said she doesn't remember the last time she went, but it seemed like she misses going to church. She told us she stopped going because she was confused about the Book of Mormon. People made it seem like the Book of Mormon was all that we needed/that it was the most important, and she disagrees with that. She agreed to have us come over and teach the lessons to her. She appreciated that we don't want her to be confused either and she loves having us over. She told us that if she's home, she will always let us in.

I also got the packages! I got the Easter one and I got the one with the scarf, memory card, unicorn and shirt. And the stickers! Thank you so much for all that you do! I loved it all! I wore the shirt yesterday, but I didn't take any pictures. Next time! :) And the grumpy cat stickers are hysterical. :) And mothers day-sounds good! We'll probably be doing calls after church, around 4 or 4:30 here. I hope that thats not too late for y'all. The time before church is just hectic. Thats also exciting about Dan and Dad's road trip. Sounds fun!!!!

Things are also still good with Hermana AhMu. She's great! And the other hermanas too! Hermana Miller is probably one of my most favorite people on the entire planet.

We also have exchanges this week. That should be fun. Oh and we hopefully have interviews soon. The elders told us that they have them this transfer, so hopefully we have them, too. Or next transfer. :)

Oh this week we also had a "Mormon Helping Hands." It was fun! We volunteered at a local food bank. We volunteer there every week, too. We helped prepare some after-school snack bag things, cleaned/organized the attic they have, and bagged produce.

Thanks for all y'all do! I hope y'all have a great week! Love y'all!

Love,

Hermana Rubow :)
